Magi Chaper 223 Review

Has anybody told you that I'm doing the Magi reviews? Well, now you know. If you don't know what Magi is, read this. 

This chapter starts with memories of “how they met” which is both strange and upsetting since clearly the last issue ended with the text written on the bottom that promised “In the next issue, a special arc. It will continue in the King David’s memorandum.” Instead, we get a girls’ slumber party.

I am hurt. I’m heart broken. I have been deceived.   

In the meantime, we find out that Sheba was an orphan who was left on the doors of a church as she tells Arba this insignificant detail that probably isn’t going to have much impact on the plot. She then scoots between Arba and Solomon as Arba comforts her with her maternal touches. Then Sheba takes a trip to philosophy land as she contemplates how parental figures both Arba and Solomon were to people.

If you want to be a major character in shonen, be parentless.

Fairy Tail Chapter 382 Review - Alegria

This chapter was a bit late but (mostly) worth the wait!

We start this week off with Kyouka kneeled in front of Mard Geer, the "Demon King". Kyouka is informing Mard Geer that Ezel and Franmalth have been defeated and that Face was destroyed. Geer then tells Kyouka that Sayla and Hell's Core are gone too (I'll get to that later). Kyouka tells Geer that they need to awaken their master, E.N.D. As Geer keeps his cool face, he informs Kyouka that they can't due to a lack of Curse Power and even though Face was stopped, magic will still be wiped out.

NARUTO Chapter 674 Review : Sasuke's Rinnegan...!!

Yes, I'm late for this week's review.
But since there's no chapter next week, you'll have more time to read this.

What's happening in this chapter ?

    I wish I knew. Chapter starts with Madara attacking Naruto and Sasuke (N&S from now on) with an Inton attack that looks like a Raiton one. Naruto sends one of his black rods to apparently absorb this "lightening" attack as Sasuke does something with his Rinnegan that only Madara understands.

Naruto chooses this moment to attack Madara with his remaining black rod, and Madara once again, uses his Limbo to counter Naruto, making Naruto's attack stop a few inches away from him. Sasuke sees "someone" that Naruto can only perceive. N&S keep attacking to try to hit "him". Madara understands that they can perceive his Limbo.

Hipster Sakura : used Limbo before it was kewl, back in 1999, BITCHES.

Manga Recommendation- Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic

If you’re looking for something casual to read when you’re craving for an interesting Shonen which you’ll later forget about after a while when the wind is blowing in the opposite direction, then you’re in the wrong place because Magi is marriage. Only read this manga if you’re willing to genuinely commit to a crapload of brilliance which is only served by the best mangas around.

But why am I-a person with a constipated relationship with appreciation-expressing my admiration towards a creation by another person?

Get this. I will review this incredible manga in a number of categories, which is a bit different than how ClayDragon usually does it but I think you can follow me. If you can’t, you can indulge yourselves in the ever stretching nipples of this very attractive Djinn.

Well, that was…underwhelming.

After Kenpachi destroys the asteroid with his new Shikai, the chunks of burning rock fall to the ground and begin to smash into the battlefield. Guremi realises that he broke it into pieces with one swing of his sword, and loses his cool, calling Kenpachi a monster. As Kenpachi stands above Guremi he says that it’s simple – there’s nothing that his sword can’t cut.

I call this chapter the Take Over Special.

This week's chapter starts off where it ended last week.With Sayla (I know translations have changed her name but I'm used to Sayla and I'm keeping to it) having attacked them all. It turns out she has trouble controlling her power, so even Lamy is getting swept up by her attacks now. Mirajane keeps trying to use Take Over on Sayla but it doesn't work and Sayla proceeds to try to slash Mirajane apart while Lisanna is forced to watch by Lamy.

It's hard to tell but this is actually an extremely loving hug.

NARUTO Chapter 673 Review : We will...!!

This week's chapter brought the thrill back to the fandom and myself !
There's action, awesome combo attacks incoming and for once,
the female lead of the manga isn't left out !

Next chapters are going to be amazing if my flair is right.

What's happening in this chapter ?

     The manga resumes with Naruto standing by Gai, who's been saved by Naruto's new power.
Madara realizes that Naruto stopped what should have caused Gai's death, and uses the Gudoudama Naruto sent back to him in the previous chapter to transform it into a stake.

But Naruto is too fast for Madara, and stops him before he gets to do anything with that stake.

Madara is confused as for why Naruto is suddendly so powerful. Naruto chooses this moment to ask for Yonbi's help inside of himself, Son (Gokū), and merges his usual Rasenshuriken with Son's element, the lava, to create a gigantic Senpou Youton Rasenshuriken and charge Madara with it. Madara tries to use his Limbo to dodge it, but it seems to have no effect, and he receives the enormous Rasenshuriken right in the face and it also cuts the God/Holy Tree in two at the same time.

As awesome as it may look, it's still only a Rasengan, Kishi, you can't deceive me.

The title says it all, really.

As the huge asteroid continues its descent towards the Soul Society, we get to see everyone’s reactions as they begin to notice what’s happening. As always, Bazz-B has a fairly natural response to seeing the asteroid, whilst Renji is in a state of disbelief. Askin notes that Guremi has gone mad, and that he should have been handled differently.

The previous Top 10 Anime Openings list was completely constructed and chosen by Claydragon and had nothing to do with me. Therefore, I felt it was only fair that I did the same thing and sent in my personal top 10, but with slightly more detail since that's what makes an article more memorable. (I still feel bad for my Top 10 Titans list being so small.) This list is about how each anime opening fits well with the series itself, as well as the quality, atmosphere, tone and setting they give to the audience themselves.

Note: This article contains spoilers for several anime series. Also, it is only one opening per anime and none of the anime from the first list are on this list since I agreed with some of Claydragon's choices.

10. Gintama Enchousen Opening 2

I’ve only just started watching Gintama but so far, I’m enjoying myself. It’s weird and stupid and it’s funny because of that. However, I looked ahead and saw the openings of Gintama and found the majority of them quite stale and typical of an anime. Then I saw this opening and instantly loved it. The song is “Sakura Mitsusuki by SPYAIR” and surprisingly, the song and setting gives the entire series itself a more emotional and dramatic side which I have yet to uncover in Gintama.

There's more emotion in this image than in most episodes of Gintama.

Nothing really happened yet I still enjoyed myself.

This week answered the big question we'd all been wondering after every death of Tartaros. "What's going to stop them just coming back again?" As Happy goes off to find Makarov and Franmalth dies grinning, knowing he can come back, we go to Mirajane and Sayla who are still fighting in the labs with a bunch of books as weapons. Also, Lisanna is trying to get Lamy off of her.

At last, the most important question has been answered!

After hearing Kenpachi note that he has a nice expression on his face, Guremi wonders what expression he actually has, and wonders why he’s feeling so good at the moment (if you’re wondering, the answer to the first question is ‘not a comforting expression’). As Kenpachi slashes at him, the ground beneath Guremi’s feet folds over him, protecting him from harm. Ignoring the spikes that line the shield, Kenpachi breaks through and slices Guremi’s shoulder.

Sorry for that ! If I can get my hands on the raw, I'll fix it.

Anyway, there isn't much advancement in this chapter and it is shorter than the previous ones.
That's what we get when the mangaka goes to the movies to watch FROZEN...

What's happening in this chapter ?

     This chapter is a mix of three things : Gai vs. Madara, Naruto and Sasuke's return, and unexpectedly... (please, tell me that you do get the heavy sarcasm behind this word) flashbacks.

The chapter starts where we left it, last week. Madara uses his dōjutsu and sees that Gai's heart pressure is getting weaker and weaker, understanding that his next attack will be the last one.

Next page brings us back to Naruto and Sasuke who just finished receiving their new power(s ?) from the Sage of Six Paths. They are back into their world, standing, where their friends/healers were waiting for them, and both Naruto and Sasuke have a little symbol on the palm of their hands, a little sun for Naruto, a dark little moon for Sasuke.

There's something missing there, any idea ? No ?
WELL, I dunno, MAYBE "THANK YOU" to your HEALERS would be APPROPRIATE ?

He's finally gone!

With Face now stopped, Franmalth is laughing as he has yet to realise. There's an awkward pause before Natsu realises he can use magic, causing Franmalth to freak out and have another tantrum where he demands souls are given to him. As he screams and runs about, he activates a magic circle using Hades' magic, and a huge explosion suddenly happens. I'm not sure why he isn't using Natsu's fire that he stole earlier but I have trouble caring.

Finally, some effort is being put into the fight.

Despite Guremi blocking Kenpachi’s attack with a steel pole, Kenpachi cuts through it like it was nothing, and a large section of the battleground crumbles away. This is being watched from a distance by Askin, who’s impressed that Kenpachi is on an equal footing with Guremi. He then ponders why Yhwach would choose to send Guremi out to fight; a sentiment shared by a figure behind him.
