And now we enter Part 6 of the Tartaros Arc! (Man, this arc is huge...)

To be honest, I didn't bring this review up immediately because I was really wasn't heart-pumpingly excited this time. There wasn't anything brilliant that I wanted to fangirl over (like Lucy vs 3 demons at once), or anything that I needed to rage-rant over (like Erza's Terminator-status) so in the end, I'm just sort of doing this review because I have to. As you can imagine, I'm not entirely enthusiastic but that doesn't mean it's a negative review.

Okay... That is fucking awesome!

I was so worried that this month's chapter would be another stupid breakdown into insanity. Thankfully, the series did manage to pick itself up a little bit and started to recover from the idiocy of the previous chapter. The series' running theme of "conspiracy" has always been prominent and as you should remember, it has never been as silly as this one. Anyway, enough build-up. It's time to begin the review.

Magi 243rd Night Review

Apparently there is no foreplay this week. The translators, whom I respect very much, have given it to us fast and dry. I didn’t even get to read the raw version like I always do which took all the romance out of it, but who am I to complain? This is great. 

This chapter takes place a while before or during the summit, I’m guessing. And will explain the mysterious Metal Vessels Hakuryuu has come in to possession. In this chapter, it is shown that Judar raised the 68^th Dungeon Belial for Hakuryuu,

Judar reminds him before going in that he could not predict what he was going to get out it in the end, but as a Magi, Judar was sure that the Djinn residing in that dungeon was strong and special. And Judar was giving it to Hakuryuu, just as he wished.

There is something erotic about this picture. I can't quite put my finger on it.

Magi 242nd Night Review

Well, this was quite a revelation, wasn’t it?

Last chapter ended with Hakuryuu being shown as the new King Vessel of Judar as he stands in front of his army in the capital of Kou, which is where this chapter continues. Hakuryuu has captured the capital with his army, and it is shown how some of the people in Kou are reacting to this new development.

One civilian says that Hakuryuu is the legitimate successor of the Kou Empire as Hakuryuu’s father Hakutoku was the emperor. But another civilian counters that since Hakuryuu had killed the Empress, Gyokouen, he should be considered a rebel, but his friend warns him not to express it as they were under the law and Hakuryuu’s army might react to this.

And on top of that, they had the right general Li Seiryuu and left general Shuu Kokuhyou of Kouen are part of Hakuryuu’s campaign, which makes them the army.

A legitimate beard as your right automatically makes your kingship legitimate too.

I... didn't even want to review this week's chapter. I really didn't.

What else can I say but that? This chapter has pretty much taken the tiny inch of chance they had to fix last week's mistake... and made things worse for me. Erza is defying logic, even in the magical world of Fairy Tail. And it burns me. In fact, there is one panel in this chapter that sums up everything wrong with this chapter. One panel. You ready for it? 

They actually said it! I made that joke last week and now they agree with me!

Firstly, I’m sorry for missing not one, but two Bleach chapters over the last fortnight. I won’t bore you with the details, but the gist of it is that pretty much every force in the universe seemed to conspire against me (especially those related to university). I think I’m on top of things now though, so you shouldn’t need to worry about me missing any reviews from now on. In terms of this review, I’m just going to review the most recent chapter as normal, and then discuss my thoughts on the previous two chapters at the end – because let’s face it, this review will be long enough as it is without me fully covering two more chapters.

It's time for the "Erza Cliche Drinking Game"! Take a shot every time Erza says/does something she always does!

If it's not obvious yet, this chapter annoyed me. And it shouldn't annoy me because I like Erza. I like her character and her abilities and so much more but... I'm unable to defend her anymore. I will explain why in this review so just bare with me until then. Anyway, it's time for the review. As you should remember from last week, the final battle between Erza and Kyouka has finally begun.

Magi 241st Night Review

Surprise early translations! Though, not that early. But still pretty early compared to other days.

 This chapter is not as good as the ones we were having for the past month. Maybe because it was more like a build up to what’s coming next.  After it was announced that Hakuryuu had killed Gyouken(I’ll try not to cringe), everyone’s in a bit of a shock. The Kou Empire army says that after Gyouken has been killed, the surviving combatants of the Defense Corps were now heading towards Balbadd.

 Kouen immediately orders Alibaba to go to Balbadd and sailed away with his troops, probably to confront Hakuryuu.

And that's the only amount of beautiful goatee we will ever see in this chapter.
