Favorite personality trait:
Being layed-back. Even though he avoided doing something as much as he could, he knew exactly how to train and motivate his team. It showed what a dedicated sensei he was.
Favorite relationship:
Shikamaru. This relationship is one the closest ones in the series, in my opinion. The way they always played shogi, because this was the perfect way for Shikamaru to develop his analyzing skills, showed how much Asuma knew about him. And of course the way Shikamaru reacted after Asuma’s death, was the best way to illustrate their strong bond.
Favorite fight:
His final fight with Hidan. Too bad it had to end like that, but I loved it. He didn’t have much of a chance, since he was linked to Hidan very soon, but I liked the team work and the techniques he used.
Favorite jutsu:
Fire Release: Ash Pile Burning. Amazing technique. Would’ve liked to see more of it.
Favorite outfit:
His standard Konoha outfit.
Favorite random thing:
Breaking his habit of smoking on ‘special’ occasions. It kind of showed how much he respected/respects that person.

Personal thoughts:
I liked Asuma from the start and seeing him die was just terrible. But he died trying to save the others. I would’ve liked to see how things would’ve worked out if he was still alive and able to see his own child being born. But after his death, his team grew stronger and is carrying on his wish to protect Kurenai and his child.

His fight as an Edo Tensei was also great ! He really was a great character. To be honest, he's a better teach' than Kakashi IMO.
