As we all struggle to write down 2020 instead of 2019, which I did as I wrote this very sentence, let us all make a resolution to keep reading this manga series and hope I get the Gajeel-Levy-daughter spinoff I always deserved. Oh and let's talk about the new chapter, because these Diabolos guys are really keeping things fun.

Natsu and Touka/White Wizard glare at each other for a page, before Whitey activates his magic to put the Dragon Slayer under her control. She gives Natsu the talk again about how she will destroy all magic that's too powerful, then smacks Happy away. Natsu is annoyed by her hitting Happy of course and brings up how she's in a cat herself, and we get a potential hint at something cat-related about the White Wizard before Happy throws the orb at her.
Not only does Happy clearly have a damn good throwing arm, but the orb has a strange reaction to WW and causes her to grow some crystal-wood all over her body. Why? Well, we don't know the details but as the cat saves the slayer, Happy does bring up that she had mentioned she couldn't destroy the orbs before, so this isn't totally out of the blue.

Back in the broken church, the hungry Kiria is about to consume Laxus when she's given the message by Skullion to leave him alone. Skullion decides now is a good time to reveal that since Laxus is full of WW's magic, then eating him would put Kiria under her spell too. Kiria says she wants to meet Laxus again someday (this ship is in my port!) and leaves.

Opinion: So... it's a giant spider, isn't it?
It's always a damn giant spider! Every fantasy game has giant spiders! Every fantasy story has giant spiders! WELL GUESS WHAT! SPIDERS ARE SCARY! And here he comes, about to transform into a terrifying spider monster, because of "fun" reasons. Why can't it ever be butterflies? Butterflies are scary too, but I'm not arachnophobic so it's better for me! Damn you, giant spiders!
So who else is excited for the "Black Dragon Slayer Cavalry"? Arguably one of the best ways to add more fuel to your fire in a shonen is by introducing a new group of colourful villains, so let's see where Fairy Tail is going here. I'm a guy who loves his villainous groups, and while I'm not expecting anything of the Phantom Troupe's or Ginyu Force's level, I'm always giddy for more team battles.

Lastly, I'm wondering how much longer we've got until the leader of Skullion, Georg Reisen. Remember him? He's the big scary bastard we haven't seen in so long, who first appeared in chapter 23. Maybe he'll be the one to punish Skullion after failing in this arc, if he does fail, but I was just surprised he's been around so little. Diabolos is certainly proving to be a fun guild so far, and let's hope the series keeps building on them.
