In honour of Gurren Lagann's 10th anniversary, I am releasing my first "Classic Anime Review", where we look back at anime that have debuted at least 10 years ago and judge the hell out of them with today's standards. This review has been a long time coming and I'm giddy just thinking about writing it. Let's talk about what makes Gurren Lagann so fantastic to watch, while brutally stomping on even the tiniest flaws. It's review time!

The fan theories were right!

I never like it when the internet figures out the secret beforehand, because it gives them a right to brag and act like they're superior to the series. I only like it when I make a prediction beforehand, and I was starting to notice it myself this week as well, so I suppose the main thing I want to say here is... I was right and that's all that matters.

Cana has a point, and the fandom hates him for this.

We're back for the episode that literally debuted on my birthday! It's Part 4 of the Tri saga, and finally we're starting to get some real answers. While not perfect, Part 4 gave us plenty to discuss, praise, criticise and shudder in utter disgust because OH MY GOD, HE LICKED HER FACE!

Between this, Next Order, Cyber Sleuth, the original series... Digimon definitely love their metal dinosaur of death.

No wasting time here, let's get right into it! Gildarts is pissed and August is grinning like a madman who just discovered what a bidet does, which is just making Gildarts even angrier. Ignoring Cana's warning, Gildarts charges and the two clash. August asks Gildarts why, even though parents are meant to love their children, that Zeref doesn't love his own child.
