Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest Chapters 34 and 35 Review - New Assassin's and Ghost Dragon Wraith

The skull kids are back!

Instead of an introduction paragraph this time, I'm going to give me thanks to everyone involved with translating and providing these chapters. I don't do it enough, and that is my sin. So before the review, here is everyone who deserves praise for their hard underappreciated work.

They even say to support the official release at the end. Another thing I don't say often enough, even though I do it consistently by buying the books.

Our review begins with Wendy staring up at her new foe on the ceiling, who attacks with spider webs from his mouth. After he catches the girl and her cat, he begins to tie them up and despite Wendy fighting back with her Sky Dragon Slayer magic, they are caught. The enemy reveals himself as Nebal from Diabolos, the Sticky Dragon Slayer... What a title.

Over at the left hand city, we are finally reunited with Skullion, Madmole and the Perfect Kiria (Waifu) as they eagerly anticipate eating the Wood Dragon when this is all over, reluctantly having to wait for the five orbs to be destroyed before they can get what they want. And as Kiria eagerly anticipates meeting Erza again, we see the redhead play-seducing Jellal with cats, gothic lolita, and even the Seduction Armour makes an appearance!

Before anything else happens, Laxus interrupts. Despite them both being brainwashed, Jellal refuses to let Laxus hurt Erza in any way and this is causing a standoff. Can things get any more hectic? Yes, because Kiria just burst in to fight Erza too! Hooray! Anyway, the chapter ends with a quick glimpse at the other characters, before we see Natsu has ran into Wraith, the Ghost Dragon Slayer.

Oh my god, they're Fairy Tail's Team Rocket!

The next chapter has Natsu learning Wraith's identity, who is "thankful" for Natsu finding him. Wraith attacks with human souls, but Natsu's attempts to fight back just pass through the new enemy. And to make matters worse, Happy appears and says he doesn't even see Wraith! Why? Well, Wraith isn't just sexy. He's also a gh-gh-ghooooost!

Meanwhile, Wendy is completely wrapped in a cocoon by Nebal, but she's still going to fight back despite this disadvantage. She's still adorable. We get a far too brief glimpse of Erza planning to steal the orb while Laxus, Kiria and Jellal are about to duke it out, and our chapter ends with Lucy getting an idea to fight Elfman and Mirajane. She summons Taurus for back-up, then has the two Gemini spirits transform into Lisanna. This is when Madmole and Skullion interfere, causing both spirits to leave. Mirajane is angered by this!

Opinion: Go back to the Erza scene!

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying everyone else too, but Erza's situation is by far the best right now. It's full of four wild characters, including the newest Waifu who likes to cut people (I've got issues, don't I?), and it keeps getting more and more hectic by the second. Jellal is practically drugged and in love, Laxus is grumpy and determined to fight Jellal for dick-size reasons, and Kiria is a sadist who wants Erza's ass. Why would you need more than that?!

That being said, Wendy is definitely getting the silver medal right now. As always, that little cinnamon roll is adorable and reminding us all how far she's come in the years with both her personality and her power. Nebal is a creepy guy, if two-dimensional, but he's going to be satisfying to watch Wendy kick about, I'm sure.

Bunnies don't meow. Immersion ruined.

Third place goes to Natsu for fighting off a handsome ghost with hot eyes, who I'm pretty sure I would ask out via note if he was in my class, since he's at least an odd specimen in terms of Fairy Tail villains, and this Diabolos guild is growing greatly with him and Nebal entering the picture. Seriously, they might be about to overshadow Sabretooth at this rate.

Move over, Saitama! There's a new egg in town!

Fourth is Lucy, fighting the duo and... Why is Mirajane upset a fake copy of Lisanna is gone, even after she acknowledged it's fake and was created by the very person who beat the shit out of the real version earlier? Oh, is it manufactured to make Mirajane fight alongside Lucy once more? I thiiiiink it is!

Best Part: Erza vs Jellal vs Laxus vs Kiria!

Worst Part: Mighty Mirajane madly marches mindlessly.
