Noragami Anime Review

Noragami Anime Review
Written by: ClayDragon

Over the course of viewing anime, we’ve been led to believe that, whenever a god appears in one of these works, they will be powerful, noble beings, usually with a strong moral code. Noragami takes a somewhat different approach in that Yato, the main character and the titular stray god, is a lazy, greedy, and selfish person who is determined to claw his way to the top and become Japan’s most revered god. Sadly for him, he’s too much of a goofball to actually succeed. A loveable goofball, sure, but a goofball nonetheless.

Top 10 Former Anime Badasses

Top 10 Former Anime Badasses
Written by: ClayDragon & Shiggins

There are no shortages of badasses in anime. Deities, reality warpers, time travellers… it’s almost a guarantee that regardless of what series you’re watching, there will always be one character who is far and away the coolest person in the show. Sadly, due to one reason or another, some characters fall from the spotlight and stop being badasses. This list celebrates (if that’s the right word to use in this situation) the characters who started off awesome, but began to exponentially decay as the series went on.

Thanks to the anonymous ask.fm user who requested this list! (Sorry about the wait).

As is this the case with many of these lists, SPOILER ALERT. You have been warned.

Bleach 636 Review – Sensitive Monster

Bleach 636 Review – Sensitive Monster
Written by: ClayDragon

I’m back! I apologise for taking so long, but the combination of holidaying and graduating (as well as the celebrations associated with said graduation) took up most of my time until recently. But enough excuses, you probably didn’t come here to see me talk about myself. You probably came here to see me talk about all the Bleach chapters I missed – we’ll get to them later on.

Fairy Tail Zero Chapters 12 & 13 Review - Zera & An Eternal Adventure

Written by Shiggins

Okay, now can we get the Levy spinoff?

Sorry, focus on this review first! This month gave us the final chapters of both Ice Trail and Fairy Tail Zero. (By the way, no. I'm not going to do a full review of Ice Trail. It bores me to tears). As endings go, Fairy Tail Zero didn't do anything shocking or unique but it did give us a few scenes we needed to see, including the resolution of the cliffhanger that 11 left us with: Zera the "ghost"!

I wonder if Hiro Mashima was inspired by Lewis Carroll in any way... (Good on you if you got that joke).

Fairy Tail Chapter 445 Review - The Ugly Fairy

Written by Shiggins

I JUST FINISHED A REVIEW!

Damn, these translators are getting faster! I'm gonna have to struggle to keep up now! And for whatever reason, this new chapter has been released ahead of schedule and I'm gonna toss it to you like I toss a scrap of meat to a group of hungry hell-hounds. However, this one gave me some satisfaction as we FINALLY met some of the Spriggan 12 and of course, plenty of Zeref.

I never thought I'd see Hiro Mashima senpai draw a Quincy.

Nanatsu No Taizai Chapter 133 Review - Impatience and Anxiety

Writer: Axlorg

Is it just me, or are we getting chapters out faster. Well, I'm going to get a bit off-topic but it Japan had put in some piracy laws, making it harder to get manga chapters out earlier (They come out the next Wednsday while we get them on Friday-Monday before it's officially released). I think that we're more likely to get new chapters on Friday's-Sundays since people find a way to get around it. Anyways, thats just a PSA. ONTO THE CHAPTER THAT DIDN'T GO AS I EXPECTED.

I'm starting to realize why Hendy made it in the top 10 character polls.

Fairy Tail Chapter 444 Review - Emperor Spriggan

Written by Shiggins

This arc is rising!

Every time I have a complaint about this arc, it gets rebutted with something that either fixes the mistake or makes me forget it entirely. That final reveal this week not only did both, but it has made this entire arc suddenly even better. It's such a terrifying reveal too! And I'm basically padding out this intro because of reasons! Let's get started.

Lucy should run as far away as she can...

Plastic Memories Anime Review

Plastic Memories Anime Review
Written by: ClayDragon

The first time I heard about Plastic Memories, all I saw was a summary that said that this was a show about a boy and a female android who work at a company that retrieves androids that have gone past their service life. From that brief summary, I figured that this series would be in a similar vein to Death Parade, in that it would ask the tough questions about mortality and suchlike. I certainly didn’t expect the main genre of the series to be a romantic comedy.

Nanatsu no Taizai Chapter 131 and 132- The Promise with the Loved One & What We Lack

Writer: Axlorg

Forgive me for my tardiness... again. Still, let me at least say this:
I will always refer to these 3 as the Disney Musketeers Counterpart.

Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage - Full Review

Written by Shiggins

Underwhelming is the word of the day.

I'm not saying it's bad or anything. I just expected more, and I think a lot of us were expecting at least some sort of payoff. Maybe if we'd known it was only ten chapters long, we'd have had less expectations and therefore, I wouldn't be feeling disappointed. When Naruto Gaiden was announced, I thought Kishimoto was going to go maybe 50-100 chapters long and we'd get some amazing drama. As it is... it's adequate enough. And since it was only ten chapters, I decided I'll just review them all at once.

It's so pretty. Does the rainbow represent the freedom of gay marriage perhaps?

Fairy Tail Chapter 443 Review - And the Land Just Vanished

Written by Shiggins

You're going to be surprised by my complaint this week.

I remember last week, when they said this chapter would have a colour page, my first thought was "Why?". I wasn't complaining or anything. I love a good colour page but I was confused. Was it a special chapter perhaps? A big reveal? An anniversary? For what reason did Mashima decide to make this chapter one with a colour page? And then I clicked the link...

I GET IT NOW!

Fairy Tail Chapter 442 Review - The Law of Space

The freaks begin their assault.

Last week had a brilliant ending. That beautiful shot of Lucy kicking the guards (oh and those other people doing things too...), and this week continues on from that. Unfortunately, there's nothing as arousing as that this week, and in it's place is a type of character that Fairy Tail has not given us in some time: An annoyance.

Mest seems like an average anime fan to me.
